Music Programs
| Sat May 19 @07:30PM 13th Simchat Zimrah Spring Concert Share the exuberant joy of all three Anshe Emeth choirs and the Awesome Band when we celebrate The Greatest Night of Jewish Music EVER! After an entire year of services and special programs, we focus on the music and the singers and players who make it. We pay special tribute to graduating seniors and their enduring commitment to our music program, and to 6th graders in their final Junior Choir performances. It is Anshe Emeth music at its very best. Bring the entire mishpocha for this very special free evening of Havdalah, great music, and great desserts! |

Chanting from the Torah is an exciting opportunity to be an active participant in the worship experience, as well as one that links us with past generations and Jews all over the world. The symbols of cantillation are the oldest form of musical notation still in common usage.

Yom Hashoah - Day of Remembrance
April 20
On Yom Hashoah we remember lives lost and aculture nearly destroyed. However, the Jewish spirit has lived on and thrived. But we must never forget. Makhelat Anshe Emet will present music from the Shoah period - from Terein, from the ghettos, and later music from the Displaced Persons camps and the pioneers of Medinat Yisrael (the State of Israel).
Time: 7:30 p.m.
Family Services on Friday nights provide an opportunity for families to worship together in a more relaxed, informal atmosphere.

The music of synagogue worship has been moving in many different directions and has taken diverse forms in terms of musical styles and instruments used. Shabbat HaMa’alot, literally a “Shabbat of Ascents,” will explore a spiritual expression and enable our wonderful musicians to weave their unique instrumental sounds around and through the melodies. Our Ma’alot Band includes: Dave Schlossberg, keyboard; Mark Szachara, bass; Rick Pressler, guitar; and Mark Fuerstein, clarinet.
Saturday morning, 10:45 a.m.
Our entire Shabbat morning community – Religious School, all Adult Education classes – will gather in the Sanctuary to celebrate the joy of Shabbat morning together. It will feature uplifting music led by the Ma’alot band and all of our choirs.
