Our entire Shabbat morning community - Religous School, all Adult Education classes - will gather in the Sanctuary to celebrate the joy of Shabbat morning together.  It will feature uplifting music led by the Ma'alot band and all of our choirs.

The music of synagogue worship has been moving in many different directions and has taken diverse forms in terms of musical styles and instruments used.  Shabbat HaMa'alot, literally a 'Shabbat of Ascents,' will explore spiritual expression and enable our wonderful musicians to weave their unique instrumental sounds around and through the melodies.  Our Ma'alot Band includes: Dave Scholossberg, keyboard; Mark Szachara, bass; Rick Pressler, guitar; and Mark Fuerstein, clarinet.

Each winter, Anshe Emeth opens its doors for two spearate weeks to host an overflow shelter for our local homeless men.  Along with other houses of worship in New Brunswick, we are privileged to provide a safe, warm place for a group of homeless men who would otherwise be on the streets during cold winter nights.

Each night at the shelter, volunteers check-in our shelter guests and spend the night at the Temple to help out.  The Mitzvah of working at our shelter can be a life-changing experience, one well worth the effort.  Please contact Phyllis Pollak to sign up for a night working at our shelter.

Welcome to Tanu Rabanan!  A special program of learning on Shabbat mornings.  In addition to our regular Shabbat morning study classes, this year we inaugurate Tanu Rabanan, a master class in Torah learning.  This is a special opportunity to study and learn from scholars, students of Torah, and teachers.

Each month our high school seniors have the opportunity to learn with Rabbi Miller. They gather at his home to share food and friendship, learning about and discussing issues that will confront them as they move on to college and adult life.
